As a bilingual candidate studying Fashion & Textile Retailing in The University of Manchester, I have considerable work experience such as fashion PR intern, temporary filming assistant specialising in London Fashion Week and part-time sales consultant in Manchester Selfridges & Co. From university, I have gained fundamental knowledge in all aspects of fashion retailing modules such as marketing and management, as well as the theories of design and fashion. I am eager to apply what I have learnt from books into real life cases, as well as executing my own innovations. I dedicate myself to whatever task is at hand, marshal my resources and stay with the task until it is complete to my satisfaction. While working as part time sales in Selfridges & Co, I had the opportunity to gain practical experience and wide exposures to handle different customers. Also, during my internship as a fashion PR, I had great chances to apply my knowledge of fashion and business into real life cases, so as to establish a better understanding of all the theories from books. From these experience, not only I have developed good teamwork and communication skills, I also had the opportunity to understand the basics of fashion industry. As a candidate who speaks fluent English and Mandarin, I believe I can offer a more comprehensive workload than most candidates. Not only I can work on issues regarding on domestic markets, I am also capable of researching and analyzing data with Asian issues having the extra language skill.
